Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Programs (RNIPs)

There are currently nine communities accepting applications through the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program (RNIP) with the latest addition being the region of West Kootenay, British Columbia. While many communities are open to applicants, the COVID-19 health crisis has caused some of these communities to limit applications to candidates who are already living in the region.

The nine communities open to applicants are:

  1. Claresholm, Alberta
  2. West Kootenay Region, British Columbia
  3. Vernon, British Columbia
  4. Altona/Rhineland, Manitoba
  5. Brandon, Manitoba
  6. Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario
  7. Sudbury, Ontario
  8. Thunder Bay, Ontario
  9. Timmins, Ontario
